All 50 states and DC. Status copied from our 25 October 2026 review of general state-authorized real-money online casino slots and table games. Sports betting, lottery, poker, sweepstakes and retail casinos require separate checks. This directory is a navigation aid, not a determination of your eligibility or legal permission. A listing, website availability or overseas licence does not establish local authorization. Follow the dated guide and official sources for current details.

Use the current legal-gaming page

Connecticut operates a regulated online-casino market. The Department of Consumer Protection's legal-gaming page identifies the casino category separately from sports wagering. This is a useful safeguard against broad statements that a brand is legal without naming the product.

The official page also distinguishes age rules: casino gaming and sports wagering require 21+, while some other listed activities have an 18+ threshold. An 18+ educational-site label is therefore not permission to participate in Connecticut casino play.

Read location and identity conditions

A valid account must still satisfy the applicable location, identity, and account-status rules. A Connecticut mailing address is not a substitute for the physical-location checks used for wagering. Follow official troubleshooting if a device cannot establish location.

Do not use another person's account or documents. If a legitimate name or address change causes a mismatch, ask for the approved update process rather than creating a second account.

Understand the official framework

Delaware is one of the operating full online-casino markets in this guide. The Delaware Lottery's internet-gaming page provides official access information through the state's casino framework. Use that page to verify the current arrangement rather than relying on an old brand list.

A change of platform provider can make older articles and screenshots stale. The important check is the currently authorized route, not the name remembered from an earlier account.

Sources: Delaware Lottery: Internet Gaming · National Council on Problem Gambling: Help and Treatment

Keep age and physical presence distinct

The Lottery's internet-gaming guidance states that players must be 21 or older and in Delaware. Its traditional lottery products can have a different minimum age. Do not transfer an 18+ lottery rule to internet casino games.

Similarly, living in Delaware does not establish permission to wager while physically elsewhere. If geolocation fails, follow official support instructions and do not attempt to spoof the device's position.

Read the current implementation status

At this review, Maine's Gambling Control Unit published internet-gaming application materials but stated that applications could be prepared and were not yet being accepted. That is evidence of implementation work, not an operating consumer market.

The distinction matters when a national table calls Maine legal. Such a label can refer to enacted authorization while omitting the licensing and launch stages still required. This guide labels Maine authorized but not launched at the review date.

Sources: Maine GCU: Internet Gaming Applications and Forms

Separate the milestones

Legislation, effective dates, proposed rules, final rules, licensing, testing, and public launch are different events. An announced commercial partnership or downloadable form does not establish that a platform can lawfully accept casino wagers today.

Use the Gambling Control Unit's current notices for updates. A forecast for a future quarter is not a guaranteed date and should not be converted into a present-tense claim of availability.

Understand the operating market

Michigan has an operating regulated online-casino market. The Michigan Gaming Control Board's legal-versus-illegal guidance and authorized-platform information provide a starting point for identifying approved services. The existence of that market does not authorize every platform that accepts a Michigan address.

The regulator's records can distinguish casino games, poker, and sports wagering and identify platform relationships. Read the activity and linked domain rather than relying solely on a familiar company name.

Confirm personal eligibility

Check the applicable 21+ age, physical-location, identity, and account requirements. An account registered elsewhere or an existing sportsbook login should not be treated as automatic eligibility for a Michigan casino promotion.

If a household, payment method, or previous account affects a welcome offer, ask before depositing. Do not create another account to bypass an eligibility restriction. Accurate information makes later verification and dispute review easier.

What the state status means

New Jersey is one of the seven operating full online-casino markets reviewed for this guide on October 25, 2026. That status means authorized services exist; it does not mean every website accessible from New Jersey is authorized. The DGE's official internet-gaming information links to approved sites and consumer procedures.

A national brand's New Jersey casino edition should be checked separately from its sportsbook or another state's product. Brand recognition is not the same as checking the current authorized domain.

Eligibility is more than a mailing address

For regulated casino play, confirm the applicable 21+ age requirement, physical-location rules, identity verification, and account status. An adult resident visiting another state should not assume their New Jersey address permits remote casino wagering there.

A promotion can add its own new-customer or invitation conditions. Those commercial conditions sit on top of legal eligibility; they do not replace it. A valid license also does not guarantee that a specific account qualifies for a welcome award.

Verify the right product

Pennsylvania is an operating full online-casino market, but the PGCB's directory separates interactive gaming from sports wagering, online poker, and fantasy contests. Use the category corresponding to the actual activity. A listing in one category does not answer every question about another.

Check the exact domain and operator relationship through the official directory. A logo copied into a footer or a claim in a comparison article should be verified independently.

Read eligibility and promotion as separate layers

Confirm the applicable 21+ age, physical-location, identity, and exclusion requirements before considering a bonus. Then read the account-specific promotion. A deposit accepted by a cashier does not necessarily establish promotional qualification.

Pennsylvania offers can differ from the same brand's New Jersey or Michigan offers. Compare the actual match amount, spin denomination, contribution table, and expiry rather than importing another state's summary.

Identify the iGaming category

Rhode Island is an operating full online-casino market. The Rhode Island Lottery's FAQ distinguishes iGaming from its other offerings. That distinction matters because a reader can encounter lottery, retail casino, sports, and online casino information on related pages.

A broad claim that Rhode Island gambling is available at 18 is incomplete for internet casino play. The official FAQ explicitly sets iGaming at 21+, even though other offerings use a lower threshold.

Check authorization and location separately

Use the Lottery's official information to verify the current platform and applicable rules. Do not infer permission from a downloaded app, national advertisement, or familiar retail casino name. The relevant question is authorization for the online product.

Read physical-location and identity requirements before considering a promotion. A successful login or accepted email address does not establish that all eligibility checks have been satisfied.

Separate the products

West Virginia has an operating regulated online-casino market under its interactive-wagering framework. The state's Lottery also offers its own online lottery products. Similar words such as online gaming do not make the two services identical.

When reading a promotion, identify whether it concerns casino games, sports wagering, or lottery products. The award rules, game access, and relevant account can differ even when the Lottery is involved in oversight.

Read licensing records with care

Official records can include operators, management service providers, and software suppliers. A supplier entry does not itself authorize a consumer-facing website to accept wagers. Check the role, current status, and exact platform relationship.

Archived PDF lists can contain old expiration dates or former brand names. Use current official information rather than treating a historical document as proof of today's authorization.
