Game contribution and qualifying turnover
Contribution percentages determine how much eligible wagering counts toward a promotion. A game can be playable without helping its progress meter.

- Contribution is an accounting percentage, not a payout rate.
- Zero contribution and prohibited play are different rules.
- Game-specific exceptions can override category labels.
Separate three different percentages
A deposit-match percentage determines an award. A contribution percentage determines counted turnover. A return-to-player percentage describes a mathematical game model. Mixing these percentages creates misleading comparisons. A 20% contribution does not mean a game returns 20% of stakes.
Calculate progress as settled stake multiplied by the stated contribution fraction. If several game categories have different rates, calculate each separately and add their counted amounts. Do not apply one category's rate to the whole account.
Read exclusions carefully
A game may be permitted but count zero toward conversion. Another game may be prohibited while a promotion is active. The first situation can leave the target unchanged; the second can trigger forfeiture under the terms. Look for both contribution tables and restricted-play clauses.
Game names and variants matter. A broad label such as slots or table games may have named exceptions. If the game list changes, save the version applicable when you accepted and ask which version governs the active award.
Use the calculation to understand exposure
A lower contribution means more nominal turnover for the same counted target, assuming constant eligibility and sufficient funds. That is an explanation of the condition, not advice to select a different game or keep playing. The account may run out before any target is met.
If the progress meter disagrees with your records, stop and request the settled-wager ledger. A delayed display, excluded round, void, or balance-type restriction can explain a difference. More betting will not resolve an accounting question.
Worked example · hypothetical
Hypothetical example
At a fictional 25% contribution, $80 of eligible stakes creates $20 of progress. At 100%, the same stakes create $80. For a $200 counted target, the purely mechanical turnover equivalents are $800 and $200, with no prediction of losses or completion.

Common questions
Does contribution affect a game's odds?
It is a promotion accounting rule. It does not by itself describe the game's outcome probabilities.
Can I assume every slot contributes fully?
No. Check named exclusions, game versions, and the current offer's contribution table.
